Fashion and retail brands with an annual logistics spend of between £500,000 and £2.5 million can now achieve the same supply chain quality and cost benefits as their larger competitors with the launch of SEKO SYNERGY, a new end-to-end logistics solution that combines award-winning freight transport and information services with value added services and web fufillment solutions.
SEKO SYNERGY is a joint venture between two leading service providers.
SEKO Worldwide UK, recently acknowledged in The Virgin Atlantic/Sunday Times’ Fast Track 100 list as the 16th fastest growing private company in the UK, is part of a global, multi-modal transportation network with multiple locations in some 40 countries worldwide. In the past three years, it was won top awards from the British International Freight Association and other awards for its innovative airfreight, supply chain management and information solutions.
With annual revenues in excess of £18 million, SEKO UK’s impressive client list includes Ann Summers, Animal, Molton Brown, Net Jets, Pink Soda and Grattan.
Synergy Group Logistics has annual revenues of £5 million from the provision of services to clients including such top brands as New Look, Debenhams, Monsoon, Bay Trading, La Senza, Arcadia and BHS. The company employs some 100 staff at two locations in London, covering 130,000 square feet. Synergy’s operation includes the UK’s most modern garment processing plant that processes some 100,000 garments a day. It also provides services such as price ticketing, labelling, pressing, bagging and despatch.
Now, the two companies are joining forces under the single brand of SEKO SYNERGY. This new identity will officially be adopted by both companies with effect from Monday, April 30th 2007.
David Emerson, Director of SEKO SYNERGY, said: “Our business has achieved such a high level of growth because we have been able to provide our customers with bespoke logistics services that our competitors cannot deliver. We never set out to be a ‘box mover’ or commoditised freight forwarder because our experience told us there were a significant number of medium-sized companies with strong brands – particularly in the fashion and retail sector – that were missing out on the quality and cost advantages of a bespoke supply chain because their spend meant they weren’t on the radar screen of bigger logistics providers. We have built our company on the strong relationships we have developed with these types of businesses that want more from their logistics supplier, particularly in terms of innovation.
“Now, to accelerate our growth, we are joining forces with Synergy in an exciting development that will see us achieve a unique position in the UK logistics market as no other medium-sized company will have the same end-to-end capability. As SEKO SYNERGY, we can provide our customers with an end-to-end, seamless operation from factory to the client’s distribution centre, store or even home.
Gary Rees, Director of SEKO SYNERGY, added: “Combining the proven capabilities of both companies means our customers can now benefit from a full portfolio of transportation, logistics, retail value added services and web fulfilment solutions. We already know this will open up a wide range of new business opportunities with both our existing customers and prospects.
“We challenge any business in the fashion, retail or lifestyle products sector to talk to us about their supply chains and how we can improve the efficiency, quality and cost of what they do now. Achieving optimum efficiency of their supply chain is a critical factor in the success of major consumer brands and we are confident we can demonstrate how they can make their businesses even more efficient. We believe many companies are missing out on the types of competitive advantages we can offer.
SEKO SYNERGY’s new offering incorporates solutions from vendor to retailer, covering vendor compliance, raw material tracking, manufacturing control, inspection, origin logistics, freight forwarding, shipping, customs clearance and destination logistics, underpinned by award winning information solutions.
Prime sectors for SEKO SYNERGY are high street fashion logistics, boutique logistics, hotel and travel logistics, aviation and airline logistics and lifestyle products logistics.
