Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) Introduced on inbound airfreight from Greater China 19 Sep 08

Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) Introduced on inbound airfreight from Greater China 11 Sep 07
Due to increased volumes as we move into the busiest airfreight period of the calendar year, a Peak Season Surcharge will be implemented by airlines operating from China and Hong Kong into the UK.
SEKO SYNERGY have no choice but to pass this increase onto our customer base and so with immediate effect the surcharge will apply on all airfreight shipments to the UK.
The PSS will be levied as a separate line item on the house airwaybill and will be:
HONG KONG - 3.00 HKD PER KILO
REST OF CHINA - 0.50 USD PER KILO
As soon as the peak period subsides the surcharge will be removed.

Worldwide Airfreight
For airfreight its a little harder to keep track of the fuel and security surcharges levied by airlines as each airline has their own method of calculation and these surcharges can change fairly often.
